Kecik-Kecik Group Show at Hin Bus Depot, Penang
On the 4th of March 2023, the opening ceremony of the Kecik-kecik Group Show brought together artists and art enthusiasts from all over Malaysia. The event was organized by the Penang Art District (PAD) & Arteesan.io at Hin Bus Depot in Penang, and showcased 155 artworks, 25 of which were sold on the first day. Together, the two organizations organized the 3rd edition of Kecik-kecik Group Show 2023 in Penang, which is the first art exhibition in Malaysia to wholly issue NFT-based certificates of authenticity.
As the event unfolded, it was clear that this exhibition was something special. Not only was it a celebration of Malaysian contemporary art, but it was also the first art show in Malaysia to wholly issue NFT-COA (Certificate of Authenticity). The NFT-COA, issued by Arteesan, adds value to the artwork by providing better ownership verification and provenance, which increases trust in the art market.
The exhibition offers a wide range of price points, with artworks priced below RM500, between RM501-RM1000, and RM1000-RM2000. This variety of price ranges ensures that there is something for everyone, whether they are new or experienced collectors.

What is Arteesan?
Arteesan is a platform designed to empower creators and democratize art, making it easier for artists to turn their passion into a sustainable career. By providing free tools for artists to create, showcase, promote, and sell their artwork, Arteesan enables creators to connect with the right audience and gain exposure.
One of the most exciting features of Arteesan is its use of NFTs and blockchain technology. Through the creation of NFTs, artists can turn any digital or physical artwork into a unique, digital asset that can be bought and sold on the blockchain. This creates new revenue streams for artists and enables them to reach a wider audience.

However, the adoption of NFTs has been hindered by the requirement of a blockchain wallet to keep custody of NFTs. Arteesan has overcome this obstacle by providing a hardware-secured custodial wallet to all users, making it more accessible for artists and collectors who may not be familiar with blockchain technology.
The collaboration between Arteesan and the Penang Art District is a heartwarming example of what can be achieved through partnerships. By organizing the Kecik-kecik Group Show, they have provided a new and innovative way for artists to showcase and sell their artwork. This exhibition also enables collectors to easily verify the authenticity of the artworks they are purchasing.

This exhibition marks a significant step towards increasing the adoption of NFTs in the Malaysian art market and highlights the potential for Arteesan to continue to drive innovation and growth in the global art community.
In conclusion, Arteesan is a platform that is transforming the art world by empowering creators and making art more accessible to everyone. By leveraging the power of NFTs and blockchain technology, Arteesan is creating new opportunities for artists and collectors to create, collect, and sell art. The Kecik-kecik Group Show is a shining example of what can be achieved through collaboration and innovation, and we look forward to seeing what Arteesan will achieve in the future.
