Kecik-Kecik Group Show at Hin Bus Depot, Penang
On the 4th of March 2023, the opening ceremony of the Kecik-kecik Group Show brought together artists and art enthusiasts from all over Malaysia. The event was organized by the Penang Art District (PAD) & Arteesan.io at Hin Bus Depot in Penang, and showcased 155 artworks, 25 of which were sold on the first day. Together, the two organizations organized the 3rd edition of Kecik-kecik Group Show 2023 in Penang, which is the first art exhibition in Malaysia to wholly issue NFT-based certificates of authenticity.
As the event unfolded, it was clear that this exhibition was something special. Not only was it a celebration of Malaysian contemporary art, but it was also the first art show in Malaysia to wholly issue NFT-COA (Certificate of Authenticity). The NFT-COA, issued by Arteesan, adds value to the artwork by providing better ownership verification and provenance, which increases trust in the art market.
The exhibition offers a wide range of price points, with artworks priced below RM500, between RM501-RM1000, and RM1000-RM2000. This variety of price ranges ensures that there is something for everyone, whether they are new or experienced collectors.
